6.TOXICOLOGICAL INFORMATION
Eye: Slightly corrosive - irritant. Exposure may result in lacrimation, pain, redness and possible corneal burns with prolonged contact.
Inhalation: Irritant - slightly corrosive. Over exposure at high levels may result in irritation of the nose and throat with coughing. Prolonged and repeated inhalation of respirable silica may result in pulmonary fibrosis. Crystalline quartz is classified as carcinogenic to humans.
Skin: Irritant. Prolonged skin contact or direct contact with abraded skin may result in irritation and possible skin rash.
Ingestion: Slightly corrosive. Ingestion may result in burn to the mouth and throat, with vomiting and abdominal pain. Due to product form, ingestion is not considered a likely exposure route.
 

 
7.EMERGENCY AND FIRST AID MEASURES
Inhalation: Inhalation: Remove person from exposure area to fresh air. Keep person warm and calm. Call for medical help if person has breathing difficulty. Give artificial respiration if person is not breathing.
Eye contact: Wash-out eyes with warm water for 15 minutes,ocasionally lifting eye lids. Send person for medical attention.
Skin contact: Remove contaminated clothing. Wash with soap and water. Launder clothing before reuse.
 

 
8.EXPOSURE CONTROL AND PERSONAL PROTECTION
General: Do not use compressed air to remove coal fly ash.
Ventilation: Use local exhaust ventilation to remove coal fly ash from work areas when feasible.
Eye protection: Employees should use dust-proof safety goggles in areas of high levels of coal fly ash. Eye wash facilities should be available in case of eye exposure.
Skin protection: Employees should wear protective clothing to prevent repeated or prolonged skin contact with coal fly ash.
 

9.SAFTY HANDLING / STORAGE AND TRANSPORTATION INFORMATION
Handling: Store in cool, dry, well ventilated area, removed from acids and foodstuffs.
Storage: Use of safe work practices are recommended to avoid eye or skin contact and inhalation. Observe good personal hygiene, including washing hands before eating.
Transportation: Not a hazardous materials in transportation.
 

 
10.ACCIDENTAL RELEASE AND DISPOSAL CONSIDERATIONS
Waste disposal: Reuse / recycle where possible. Keep product moist to reduce the potential for dust generation and dispose of to an approved landfill site. Contact the manufacturer for additional information.
Legislation: Dispose of in accordance with relevant local legislation.
